These students at Syracuse University were named to the dean's list in the fall 2007 semester: Ashley Berman of Boxford, College of Human Services and Health Professions, sophomore majoring in child and family studies; Christine Breen of North Andover, L.C. Shannon Lee Larkin of Boxford, a business major, and Jonathan David Waisnor of North Andover, a liberal arts and sciences major, were named to the University of Connecticut dean's list for the fall 2007 semester.

Katherine M. Craig of Boxford has been selected for inclusion on the dean's list for academic achievement during the fall semester at St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y. Craig graduated from Masconomet Regional High School in Topsfield. She's majoring in environmental studies-government.

Katherine Reilly, a freshman, was named to the Governor's Academy high honor roll for the first semester.

Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, N.H., has announced the winter 2008 honor list as follows: Sanna L. Gu received high honors. Parents are Drs. Bo Gu and Yin Lu of North Andover. Samuel B. Kishinevsky received honors Parents are Mr. and Mrs. Michael Kishinevsky of North Andover.

Jason Ferraro of North Andover is studying in Florence, Italy. He is a Junior at Stonehill College, Easton, Mass., majoring in Business/Marketing and is a former St. John's Prep graduate, Class of 2005.

He is studying International Marketing while in Florence and recently attended Easter Sunday Mass at the Vatican along with the president of Stonehill College and several classmates, celebrated by Pope Benedict XVI.

North Shore Community College President Wayne Burton has announced that more than 100 NSCC students were inducted into Phi Theta Kappa's International Honor Society at NSCC's Lynn Campus.

Phi Theta Kappa is a national honor society for students at two-year colleges who exhibit outstanding academic performance throughout each semester. To be invited for membership, students must be enrolled in a degree program with a minimum of 18 credits and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.7. NSCC is affiliated with the nationwide organization through its own chapter, Alpha Lambda Kappa.
