Polly Pyle, a North Andover travel agent, recently won the "Secrets of Australia" photo contest, sponsored by Swain Tours. Pyle's winning photograph is of Wineglass Bay in Tasmania, Australia, which she took from a small flight-seeing plane.

"A small group of three travel consultants were flown in our single-prop Cessna 206, piloted by Daniel of Par Avion of Hobart, Tasmania. We flew over pastoral land, fishing communities, oyster farms and beautiful coastline en route to the spectacular scenery of Wineglass Bay, which is only accessible by boat or on foot.

This beautiful stretch of white sand surrounded by rugged mountains and seen from the air was breathtaking! If you are pressed for time to visit Freycinet National Park by land, this is a very special way to experience its beauty," Pyle said in an e-mail to Town Crossings.

Pyle, is a vacation travel consultant, specializing in travel to Australia. She became a certified Aussie Specialist through the Australia Tourist Commission in 1996, and she has been an "Aussie Specialist Premier" since its inception in 2005.
