MIDDLETON | Before the 106 graduates of North Shore Technical High School headed off to college, jobs and the military, they took time to applaud and thank Assistant Principal Phyllis Flibotte and Principal Richard McLaughlin, both of whom are retiring this year, taking with them a combined 58 years of experience.
Flibotte, the guest speaker, took the graduates of the 16-community school district back to the days when she first started and the school was housed in a dilapidated facility in Beverly.
"I quickly realized that North Shore Tech was like no other school I'd ever been associated with," Flibotte said. "I liked it so much I stayed for 27 years."
"I think it's high time I graduated," Flibotte said to the hundreds of family, friends and well-wishers on hand last night in the school's gym.
