Buy kittens, get free gas:
Reduced adoption fees, gas cards seek to lure families
Wanted: a loving home for more than 30 kittens and adult cats rescued by the nonprofit Animal Rescue Merrimack Valley.
Besides feline companionship, adopters will get a $20 gas gift card, a three-pound bag of cat food and reduced adoption fees.
"These kittens will pay for their own gas home. Gas up, cruise on over and adopt," ARMV wrote in a press release.
Following what it calls a "kitten explosion" this spring, ARMV will have the felines available for adoption Saturdays at PetCo on Route 114 in North Andover from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A reduced adoption fee of $100 for cats older than 6 months and $125 for kittens under 6 months is in effect through July 27.
All cats and kittens are neutered, tested, microchipped and have up-to-date shots. One month of pet health insurance is also included.
To view the cats and for more information on adopting, go to www.ARMV.org or call 978-374-SAFE.
