Meuse wins school art award

Roxanne Meuse of Groveland won Pentucket Regional High School's "Best of School" prize in the Sixth Congressional District High School Art Competition, hosted by U.S. Rep. John F. Tierney and Montserrat College of Art in Beverly.

Several post offices in the Sixth Congressional District will display the artwork of students in their communities.

Roxanne took part in an awards ceremony Saturday, May 19, in Montserrat's Cabot Street Gallery, joining John R. Cantwell, senior manager of Post Office operations for the Massachusetts Postal District; Stan Trecker, Montserrat's president; and Congressman Tierney.

As a "Best of School" winner, Roxanne will receive a $250 scholarship to Montserrat's month-long summer pre-college program.
