Five young riders from Groveland collected eight blue ribbons and three division championships at the Rockingham Pony Club Spring Fling Horse Show at the Tack Shack in Fremont, N.H., on Sunday, May 13.
The girls all ride for Plum Grove Equestrian Center in Groveland, operated by Dani Douphinette.
Plum Grove riders were Alana White and Alison Carr, both 8; Stephanie Fabri, 10; Lindsey Hitchings, 12; and Katie Cunniff, 15.
Championships were won, in the Leadline Division by Alison Carr, in the Walk/Trot Division by Stephanie Fabri, and in the Senior Division by Katie Cunniff.
Individual category placings are as follows:
Leadline Equitation -- Alison Carr, 1st place; Alana, 3rd place.
Walk/Trot Equitation -- Stephanie Fabri, 1st place.
Senior Equitation -- Katie Cunniff, 2nd place.
Leadline Pleasure -- Alison Carr, 1st place; Alana, 3rd place.
Walk/Trot Pleasure -- Stephanie Fabri, 1st place.
Senior Pleasure -- Katie Cunniff, 3rd place.
Senior Hunter Under Saddle -- Katie Cunniff, 2nd place.
Walk/Trot Beginner Canter -- Lindsey Hitchings, 4th place; Stephanie, 6th place.
Leadline Egg and Spoon -- Alison Carr, 1st place.
Walk/Trot Egg and Spoon -- Lindsey Hitchings, 4th place.
Walk/Trot Command -- Stephanie Fabri, 3rd place.
Walk/Trot Barrel Racing -- Lindsey Hitchings, 1st place; Stephanie, 6th place.
Walk/Trot Pole Bending -- Lindsey Hitchings, 1st place.
Walk/Trot Jumpers -- Lindsey Hitchings, 6th place.
Walk/Trot Trail Course -- Lindsey Hitchings, 3rd place; Stephanie, 4th place.
Senior Trail Course -- Katie Cunniff, 2nd place.
Leadline Trail Course -- Alana White, 1st place; Alison Carr, 2nd place.
Approximately 50 to 75 riders participated in the show, according to Douphinette.
