Medical transportation for seniors

Through Northern Essex Elder Transportation, the Georgetown Council on Aging provides rides for seniors to medical and other necessary appointments. Northern Essex Elder Transportation is staffed by volunteer drivers. Though a donation of 32 cents per mile is requested to help support the program, no one will be turned away. A minimum of two days' notice is required. The driver will call those with appointments on the day of travel to finalize details. For more information, call the COA at 978-352-5726.

House tours needs you

The Georgetown Historical Society will sponsor a house tour in 2008 and is looking for interested people to join the committee. Volunteers must be able to give time to monthly meetings and be available for the day of the event.
