The annual Masconomet Music Awards Dinner will be held on Sunday, March 30 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Georgetown Club, 258 Andover St., Georgetown. Tickets for the buffet dinner are $22 per person.
Awards for the 2007-08 school year will be presented to Masconomet music students. Families are welcome. Guests are asked to bring a donated item as a contribution to one of the themed gift baskets that will comprise the MMPA's annual silent auction, to be held May 1 at the school.

The Masconomet Music Parents Association is a registered not-for-profit (501(c)) organization. The MMPA supports and cultivates music, music education and the performing arts at Masconomet Regional Schools and in the Tri-Town communities of Boxford, Middleton and Topsfield.

Piano sales benefit North Andover: Steinway & Sons, renowned makers of pianos, will be conducting an exclusive factory sale of their Steinway, Boston and Essex brand pianos at the Stevens Estate at Osgood Hill, 723 Osgood St. in North Andover. The event will be Friday to Sunday, March 28 to 30, and hosted by M. Steinert & Sons, the region's only authorized Steinway dealer.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the new Arts and Music Fund of the North Andover Foundation for Education, a parent group dedicated to supporting the North Andover public schools.
A private sale will be held by appointment only on Friday, March 28, from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.; and again on Saturday, March 29, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Reservations are required and can be made by calling toll-free 800-944-2053.
The Stevens Estate will be open to the public for the final day of the Steinway sale on Sunday, March 30, from noon until 5 p.m.

Boxford Academy hosts open house and literary fair: Boxford Academy will host an open house Thursday, March 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Spend the entire day or part of the school day visiting classes, attend chapel, tour our literary fair and meet our teachers and students.
North Andover author Anne Broyles will read her historical children's' book "Priscilla and the Hollyhocks" followed by special activities and a book signing all beginning at 1 p.m.

Historical society event goes "behind the scenes" of history: How do you make history come alive? Join the North Andover Historical Society for an informative session on what goes into creating the many kinds of interactive history programs for children that the North Andover Historical Society offers. Following this overview, long-time volunteer Marty Larson will introduce audience members to the art of creating a more authentic looking costume by using fabrics which have period look and feel. Community Giving Tree collection: During March, items such as lotions, baby linens, baby clothes, diapers, baby powder, pacifiers, picture frames, baby sleepers, socks and bottles will be collected and made into Mothers Day Gift Baskets and given to struggling mothers on the North Shore. Grief and loss support group: Merrimack Valley Hospice and St. Michael Parish sponsors a support group for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one on March 27, April 3, 10, 17 and 24 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in St. Michael Church Parish Hall, 196 Main St., North Andover.
