Teams will be selling yard sale items, baked goods and raffle tickets, with all proceeds benefiting the 2007 Amesbury Relay. For more information, contact Donna Eldredge at 978-821-4084.

The American Cancer Society is inviting community members from Amesbury and surrounding cities and towns to join the fight against cancer in this year's "Relay For Life of Amesbury." The money raised through the relay effort supports the work of the American Cancer Society in the greater Amesbury area.
This will be the fifth annual Relay For Life of Amesbury and the theme is "Celebrations," to honor the accomplishments of survivors.
The final total raised at the 2006 Amesbury Relay For Life was $110,000.
Eighty-one percent of the money raised is used to perform research by scientists seeking a cure, support public awareness and education efforts and provide patient services to those fighting cancer.
Planning is well underway for this year's event and more volunteers are needed. Anyone who would like to become a part of the Relay For Life of Amesbury may contact co-chair Donna Eldredge at 978-821-4084 or Penny Zagranis at 978-388-9394 or Anna Floreen at the American Cancer Society, 781-314-2686, or visit the event Web site at www.acsevents.org/relay/MAamesbury for more information.
A meeting for anyone interested in joining the Relay or forming a team will be held on Monday, June 25, at 6:30 p.m. at the Conference Room of the Amesbury Health Center on Highland Street. Returning team captains are encouraged to register online soon or by contacting the American Cancer Society.
